Work has been ongoing throughout the project to define the Coastal Literacy Framework – a set of concepts to help promote consistency across government, its agencies and the third sector in communicating about the coast. The framework hopes to distill the essence of what an informed person needs to know about the coast.
Working with an expert panel made up of 12 people representing diverse interests across the Peninsula (tourism, business, fishing, wildife, heritage, arachaeology, stakeholder groups etc), the framework is a work in progress and will be developed further over time.
The framework consists of 4 ‘Concept families’. Each is home to a series of concepts or statements about the coast. Version one of the Framework is available by clicking on the link below.
